SATGEAR MM8 - Sistema de montaje para neumático de repuesto para Starlink Mini (MM1 + soporte + correa)
***SHIPS WORLDWIDE***
The SatGear MM8 combines the MM1 Protective Mount, spare tire mount attachment and strap to install your Starlink Mini on a rear-mounted spare tire up to 38 inches in diameter. Its aluminum housing and 5mm polycarbonate cover protect the dish, while the strap secures the setup without drilling or permanent vehicle modifications.
Two ways to attach your MM1 — both included:
- Frequent removal: Use the two supplied L-brackets to attach the MM1 to the spare tire mount through its sides with thumb screws. Undo them by hand when moving your MM1 to another vehicle or using different attachments.
- Longer-term installation: Leave out the L-brackets and thumb screws and attach the MM1 directly from underneath with the supplied screws. This requires a tool to remove the MM1 and avoids easy removal by hand.
The detached MM1 can use optional magnets, suction cups or other compatible attachments on another vehicle or surface.
Ideal For
Rear-mounted spare tires on Jeeps, Broncos, 4Runners, RVs (including Class C motorhomes), travel trailers and other compatible vehicles; overland and camping setups; vehicles with limited roof space; and customers who want one core mount for multiple vehicles or locations.
LIMITED TIME SPECIAL — Choose a FREE 12V (14AWG) cigarette-lighter power cable in a 6', 10', 15' or 25' length ($29–$59 value). View the 12V cable.

Protection for Your Starlink Mini
At the core of the MM8 is the MM1 Protective Mount. Its high-grade aluminum housing surrounds your Starlink Mini, while a 5mm polycarbonate cover adds protection over the dish surface and allows satellite signals to pass through.
The MM1 stays with your Starlink Mini when you move it between compatible mounting setups, so the protective enclosure remains part of your system.
Two Ways to Attach Your MM1 — Both Included
For frequent removal: Use the two supplied L-brackets to connect the sides of the MM1 to the spare tire mount with thumb screws. Undo the thumb screws by hand when you want to move the MM1 to another vehicle or use a different attachment.
For a longer-term installation: Leave out the L-brackets and thumb screws and attach the MM1 directly to the spare tire mount from underneath using the supplied screws. Removal then requires a tool. This avoids easy removal by hand, although it is not a locking or theft-proof system.
Multiple Mounting Configurations in One System
Use the complete MM8 on your rear-mounted spare tire, then detach the MM1 when you need a different setup. For example, keep the spare tire attachment on your Jeep and move the MM1 to another vehicle using optional suction cups on a suitable smooth surface or rubber magnets on a compatible steel panel.
The MM1 also works with compatible roof rack brackets, flat-surface L-brackets, a pole mount adapter, and a VSM (Vertical Surface Mount), including a VSM with a Ford bed adapter. Start with the core mount and add compatible equipment as your needs change. Find the available options on our Accessories page; additional attachments are sold separately.
Designed for Spare Tire Installation
Use the MM8 on compatible rear-mounted spare tires on Jeeps, Broncos, 4Runners, RVs (including Class C motorhomes), travel trailers and other vehicles.
The included attachment and strap fit rear-mounted spare tires up to 38 inches in diameter. Route the strap around or across the tire to suit your installation, without drilling or permanent vehicle modifications. Check that your tire and surrounding equipment leave enough room for the mount and strap.
The mount sits close to the spare tire, leaving roof space available for a rooftop tent, cargo, solar panels or other equipment. It is a useful configuration for overland travel, camping and vehicles with limited roof space.
Part of the SatGear Modular Mounting Ecosystem
The MM8 is built around the MM1 Protective Mount, allowing your system to adapt as your needs change.
Use it as a complete MM8 spare tire mount, or detach the MM1 and configure it with optional suction cups, rubber magnets or other compatible brackets and attachments for a different vehicle or surface.
Start with the core component, then add compatible equipment over time. Explore our Accessories page for available options; additional attachments are sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included with the MM8?
The MM8 includes the MM1 Protective Mount, spare tire mount attachment, tire strap, two L-brackets with thumb screws, and screws for mounting the MM1 directly from underneath. Both mounting methods are included; choose the one that suits how often you plan to remove the MM1. Rubber magnets and suction cups are optional.
What size spare tire does the MM8 fit?
The included strap fits rear-mounted spare tires up to 38 inches in diameter. Check that there is enough room around your spare tire for the mount and strap. Fit depends on your tire and surrounding equipment, rather than the vehicle model alone.
Does the spare tire installation require drilling?
No. The included strap secures the mounting attachment to the spare tire without drilling or permanent vehicle modifications. The strap can run around or across the tire, depending on your installation.
When should I use the included L-brackets and thumb screws?
Use the two supplied L-brackets if you frequently remove the MM1 to use it on another vehicle or with other attachments. The brackets connect the sides of the MM1 to the spare tire mount using thumb screws, which you can undo by hand to detach the MM1. The L-brackets and thumb screws come with the MM8.
How do I attach the MM1 for a long-term spare tire installation?
For a longer-term installation, leave out the L-brackets and thumb screws and attach the MM1 directly to the spare tire mount from underneath using the supplied screws. Removing the MM1 then requires a tool, rather than simply undoing thumb screws by hand.
Which mounting method should I use if I am concerned about someone removing the MM1?
Choose the supplied screws underneath for a longer-term installation if you want to avoid easy removal by hand. The side L-brackets and thumb screws are designed for convenient, frequent removal, so someone else could also undo them by hand. The underneath screws require a tool to remove; they are not a locking or theft-proof system.
Can I remove the MM1 and use it on another vehicle?
Yes. Detach the MM1 Protective Mount from the spare tire attachment, then add optional rubber magnets, suction cups or another compatible attachment. This lets you keep the spare tire setup on one vehicle and use the same MM1 in a different configuration.
Which attachments can I use with the detached MM1?
The MM1 works with compatible rubber magnets, suction cups, roof rack brackets, flat-surface L-brackets, a pole mount adapter, the VSM (Vertical Surface Mount), and the VSM with a Ford bed adapter. It also supports tripod mounting. Explore our Accessories page for available brackets and attachments. Start with the core component, then add compatible equipment as your needs change.
Are rubber magnets and suction cups included?
Rubber magnets and suction cups are optional. Select either or both when ordering if you want to use the detached MM1 on other compatible surfaces. The two L-brackets, thumb screws and underneath mounting screws come with the standard MM8.
What surfaces work with the optional magnets and suction cups?
Rubber magnets require a suitable magnetic steel surface; they will not attach directly to aluminum panels. Suction cups need a clean, smooth, nonporous surface with enough room for each cup to form a complete seal.
Can I convert the MM8 to a vertical surface or Ford bed setup?
Yes. Use the detached MM1 with the VSM (Vertical Surface Mount) for an MM6 configuration, or add the VSM and Ford bed adapter for an MM7 configuration. For vertical mounting with magnets, manual or electronic suction cups, or screws, the VSM requires its compatible U-brackets. See the MM6 and MM7 pages for the hardware options and vehicle compatibility.
How does the MM8 protect the Starlink Mini?
The MM1 core mount surrounds the dish with a high-grade aluminum housing and a 5mm polycarbonate top cover. The cover adds protection over the dish surface while allowing satellite signals to pass through.
