But the SM8 is more than just a spare tire mount. Because the system is built around the SatGear SM2 platform, the upper mount can also be used as a standalone SM2 when equipped with optional suction cups and/or magnets.

This gives you multiple mounting configurations in one system. Use the SM8 on the rear spare tire of one vehicle, then remove the SM2 upper mount and use it with optional suction cups or magnets on another vehicle.
