Are rubber magnets and suction cups included?
They are optional. The standard SM8 includes the SM2, spare tire attachment and strap. Select rubber magnets, suction cups or both when ordering if you also want to use the SM2 on compatible vehicle surfaces.
What surfaces work with the optional magnets and suction cups?
Rubber magnets need a steel surface that attracts a magnet; they do not attach to aluminum panels. Suction cups need clean, smooth surfaces with enough flat space for each cup to make a complete seal. Use the hardware sized for the SM2.
Does the SM8 have a wind deflector?
Yes. The SM8 includes the SM2, which has an integrated wind deflector. The deflector is useful when you remove the SM2 from the spare tire mount attachment and use it on your vehicle's roof. Position the wind deflector toward the front of the vehicle to help reduce wind resistance and wind noise. The deflector is not needed when using the SM8 on a spare tire.
