The SatGear VSM (Vertical Surface Mount) attachment was designed to allow the SatGear MM1, SM1, SM2 and SM3 mounts to be mounted to vertical surfaces. Such as such as vehicle side panels, RV walls, trailers, semi trucks, offroad vehicles, vans, service vehicles, equipment enclosures, shipping containers, and other upright surfaces where horizontal mounting is not practical.

Built for versatility and strength, this attachment works seamlessly with SatGear MM-Series and SM-Series mounts, including the MM1, SM1, SM2, and SM3. It provides a stable and secure mounting interface while maintaining the same rugged reliability and flexibility SATGEAR mounts are known for.

This Vertical Surface Mount Attachment offers three secure installation methods, allowing you to choose the best solution for your application:

Suction Cup Mounting:

Attach using two large 6-inch heavy-duty suction cups for an extremely strong hold on smooth surfaces. Customers can choose between manual pump suction cups or electronic suction cups directly on the product page. Both options provide exceptional holding strength, with the larger 6-inch diameter offering significantly more surface contact and grip compared to smaller suction cups. This option is ideal for temporary installations, vehicle mounting, and situations where drilling is not desired.

Magnetic Mounting:

Mount using two, 3.5" ultra-strong magnets, each rated at over 130 pounds of pull force. With more than 260 pounds of total holding strength, this option provides an incredibly secure attachment to steel surfaces such as vehicle bodies, equipment panels, and metal enclosures. This allows for fast installation, easy repositioning, and reliable performance even in demanding environments.

Hard Mount Installation:

For permanent installations, the attachment includes integrated mounting brackets with pre-drilled holes, allowing you to securely fasten the mount directly to any vertical surface using screws or bolts. This method provides maximum long-term stability and is ideal for trailers, service bodies, equipment enclosures, walls, and fixed installations.

Electronic Suction Cup Option (Automatic Self-Pumping Technology):

For maximum convenience and reliability, customers can select the optional electronic suction cups, which automatically maintain optimal suction without manual intervention. These intelligent suction cups continuously monitor vacuum pressure and will automatically re-pump themselves whenever suction drops below approximately 80%, ensuring consistent holding strength at all times.

This eliminates the need for manual re-pumping, routine checking, or monitoring suction levels, making them ideal for long-term installations, vehicle mounting, and mission-critical applications where reliability is essential.

The electronic suction cups are powered by a built-in rechargeable battery and can be easily recharged using a standard USB cable. On a full charge, they can operate for approximately 2 to 3 weeks while actively maintaining suction. They are also water-resistant and designed to withstand rain, snow, and harsh outdoor conditions, though they are not intended for full submersion.
